  • Clay barred using ceramic hybrid as lubricant

Just joined forum. I clay bar my cars every spring and fall and decided to use ceramic hybrid as the lubricant. Washed the car, rinsed and did not towel dry. Sprayed hybrid on a panel and then clay barred - making sure to pass over the whole panel. Then hosed as you would when using hybrid when waxing the car. Worked great !! Made sure each panel was wet prior to spraying hybrid and claying. Took only about 20 minutes to clay bar and wax car.

Interesting idea. Did you feel the need to be liberal with the product in order to get the lubricity you needed for the clay? I find that most HCW users are spraying WAY too much of the product on a panel. The Meguiar's how-to videos show something like 2 or 3 sprays max per panel.

I sprayed just enough to spread over the surface. 2 to 3 sprays worked out fine
