Re: Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax - Upgrades

I've used the new UQW on 3 vehicles now and it seems very nice. Not sure that I see a noticeable improvement over the regular quick wax or the detailer line x-press wax but it smells nice and has a really nice sprayer.

I'll most likely stick with the x-press wax given the high price of the new UQW. If they wouldnt of had the $3 rebate I wouldnt have bought it.

I finally got a chance to try the new Ultimate Quik Wax and I’m loving the improved slickness and water sheeting behavior. Now with the updated formula, what non spray wax/sealant will give me the same type of slickness and water behavior and last longer? I’m not a fan of the newest Ultimate Liquid wax, would the new Ceramic Liquid Wax give me what I’m looking for?

        Thanks.

Our new Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax really focuses on protection. I am getting the feeling you did not like the application experience with the liquid version of our Ultimate Wax. Is that correct? If so, I would recommend trying the paste version of our Ultimate Wax. It is a much different user experience when it comes to application. It applies more like a traditional wax, where as our Ultimate Liquid is a much newer style, thinner consistency, apply, wipe off type application.

i just wasn’t impressed with the water behavior of Ultimate Liquid was last time I used it. It still works fine but it’s basic beading. With the new Quik Wax, I get on the highway after rain and my car is basically dry on the horizontal surfaces. I just was looking for a liquid or paste wax from Meguiars that lasts longer than the Quik wax and behaves the same.

10/4. If you are really after water beading & protection, we would recommend checking out our newer Hybrid Ceramic Product Line. The water beading characteristics in these products are a significant step above our Ultimate Line.

But, one thing... X-press wax has filling ability, or at least shows to hide scratches, are there plans for a NXT 3.0 hybrid or adding fillers to any of these products for one step?
The spray wax after NXT 2.0 just hides and hides everything on a daily driver
