    Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer

Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer provides the missing link between washing and waxing with Hybrid Ceramic protection. This is the perfect product to use in between application of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax to enhance the existing hydrophobic water beading protection. You can also use this formula to remove light contaminants and dust to maintain that "just washed" appearance while adding a layer of hybrid, Sio2 ceramic protection that beads water like crazy!

    • Removes contaminants to restore a "just washed" appearance
    • Water-bead creating hydrophobic protection
    • Boosts & enhances wax, coatings & sealants
    • Also excellent as a synthetic clay lubricant

How would the performance compare to doing UQD/UQW?

Comparing to Ultimate Quik Detailer, Hybrid Ceramic Detailer will have MUCH better water beading/protection performance, because of the Ceramic/SiO2 technology within the product. Ultimate Quik Detailer will likely out perform this Hybrid Ceramic Detailer in gloss & super slick application. Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is easy to use & has great gloss in addition to the SiO2 water beading/protection performance, but Utlimate Quik Detailer, especially the new version coming out, is SUPER slick, and will likely provide slightly better gloss.

Another important factor to bring up is that this is the perfect maintenance detailer product if you are currently using our Hybrid Ceramic Wax (spray blue bottle) or are planning on trying the new Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. Certain spray detailers or spray waxes used on paint which is protected with a Ceramic/SiO2 product can diminish the water beading & self-cleaning characteristics of the base Ceramic/SiO2 product.

Nick, has this been tested with ceramic coatings and if so, with which coatings and what were the results?

This product, Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, has a true Ceramic/SiO2 base chemistry. This product, Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, along with our Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray are an excellent choice to boost & maintain performance of any true Ceramic Coating like our new M788 Deep Crystal Ceramic Paint Coating or another protection product like a synthetic sealant. There should be no compatibility issues with other manufacturers coatings. They may not like the idea of you using a Meguiar's product over their coating, but these products mentioned will only boost & enhance performance of a coating applied to a vehicle, no issue. Our new M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster is also another excellent choice to boost performance.

Nick, you mentioned the Bead Booster would work as a stand alone sealant.

Would this product work in that capacity as well?

                  Re: Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer

Finally received my bottle, it's interesting how it "grabs" onto the paint. Another thing I notice it's very very high in lubricity, so it's so easy to spread. I would agree though, Ultimate Quik Detailer comes off just a bit slicker. But honestly it's not much different and just feels like what you'd expect. Going to be a nice maintenance product with my HCLW.

                      A couple of questions:

                      1) Would I be correct in saying that this is a spray detailer that also offers protection, whereas the UQD is a spray detailer that does not, and therefore should be paired with the UQW?

                      2) For a maintenance routine, how would you compare doing UQD and UQW with doing HCD and HCW in terms of gloss, protection, and longevity?

Hybrid Ceramic Detailer does offer protection. UQD also offers protection. Just a different form of protection between the two products.

                        HCD is a nice product.

So if I'm doing the HCLW say twice a year, and the HCD in-between for maintenance, is there any need for the HCW? Is there any need for UQD/UQW?

It is all going to come to personal preference on what to use. I posted that video for your other post. It covers what you are looking for in mixing all three hybrid ceramic products.

                              Nick,

Both M27 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Sealant and M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster are listed as being compatible with Wraps and Vinyl. Is that true of Hybrid Ceramic Detailer as well? Since M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster at a 1 to 3 ratio can be used as a detailer, I am thinking that Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is also compatible with Wraps and Vinyl, but your opening post about the product in this thread you don't list it as compatible with Wraps and Vinyl.

I have started using M27 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Sealant in the 16oz size and will be using M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster when I can find it in the 32oz size. I am looking at using Hybrid Ceramic Detailer as my detailer / cleaner while traveling in my wrapped car because I can find it at WallMart, O"Reily's, Pep Boys or Auto Zone to replenish what I have in my spray bottle. I doubt I would be able find M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster these locations. That is why I would like to know if I can use Hybrid Ceramic Detailer on my wrapped car.

                              Thanks for answering my questions.
