Looking for recommendations for a process to remove scratches on a windshield. It is a 2012 CRV with scratches caused by a crappy wiper.

    Welcome to MOL.

It is not an easy task to remove scratches. It comes to a point where it may just be time to replace the windshield.

There are products like ceriglass (cerium oxide) and glass pads.

My plan, after previous owner ran the wipers with apparently the passenger side off leaving an inch or so wide arc of scratches, is to locate and fully cost out a new windshield, then try some things with the what have I got to lose mentality.

GlasWeld was at the Detailing.com 10 Year Anniversary Expo & one of our reps had a good conversation with their reps & in turn mentioned to me that it seemed like they have some legit solutions. I have not looked into it but I do not think they are necessarily DIY solutions.

I purchased a CarPro product to try to fix the scratches. It cost around $20. First I tried the applicator that came with the kit. Nothing. Then I moved to my DA polisher and a Meg's pad. That improved. I made multiple passes with the product and speed up to 4.5. I started to get some results. finally I moved to a thin Meg's pad and multiple passes at the highest speed and pressure. Now I started to see results. Still more to do, but I am done for today.
