How much Gold Glass soap to use?

Hi all

I was wondering how much Gold Glass Wash soap everyone has been using and with how much water?

This is what my bottle says:

Rinse surface with water and pour 1 ounce, or 4 capfuls, of Gold Class Car WashShampoo and Conditioner into a wash bucket and add 1 gallon of water.


I am in Australia so our measurements are a little different, but i have been using the above ratios and the 2 bucket system and tend to have quite a bit of wash solution left over. From what i am reading - lots of people are using 4 gallons of water which would require 4 ounces of soap... which would use up a bottle pretty darn quick!

You are right that it calls out for 1 oz or 30ml per gallon. Which you would be using the exact amount you are referring to. Often it is best to follow the manufacturers recommendations. You can also experiment with a ratio that works for you.

If you are looking for a more value based yet a good performing Meguiar's wash well you have Hyper Wash as an option.

I was wondering if people use more water but increase the ratio of wash accordingly? For e.g. 2 ounces of wash, 2 gallons of water. I am finding that 1 of each is plenty and have wash left over. 1 ounce in 1 gallon of water allows me to go over the whole car twice.

I don’t think we have hyper wash in Aus. We have the cheaper soft gel wash.

Won't hurt to experiment and see if you find a mix that works for you.

The recommended dilution ratio for most all of our Consumer & PRO Car Wash Solutions is 128:1, but with that said, we would imagine that most people likely do not even read the label for these products, or any of our other products for that matter, and are likely using way more than 1 ounce of soap per gallon of water. There is no harm in that, and to admit, I even will not measure & use more than recommended at times, because more soap usually means more suds, which even though suds are not what make a car wash effective & safe, they do make for a more in some cases a more enjoyable user experience.

A lot of it comes down to preference : )
