Just got myself a silver silverado. Paint isn't bad, but due to the extreme heat down here, I'm definitely going to protect it. Planning on clay barring vehicle this weekend, then going to use cleaner wax paste. Tons of great info here!

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! Great idea to clay prior to protection step to ensure there are no bonded above surface contaminants. Our classic A12 Cleaner Wax has been popular for many, many years, it was actually released in 1973 & is not very different than the original formula. That said, it is not necessarily the longest lasting Cleaner Wax we have. If you are looking for a product which will hold up longer, especially in the extreme heat you indicated you experience where you live, you might check out our Meguiar's 3 in 1 Wax. You can also consider topping with our Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax or Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax for even more protection. Just some thoughts, the Cleaner Wax is a good product, these are just some of our newer, more advanced options. I will link below:
