Is it ok to use the 3 inch backing plate with the MT300? Just want to use some 3 inch 1500 & 3000 foam discs to smooth out a paint touch up I did.

And if it is ok should I use an interface pad on the backing plate?

Yes, it is absolutlely OK to use our DBP3 Soft Buff D/A Backing Plate 3" on our MT300 Dual Action Polisher. This is one of the features which makes this machine unique, it can run, 3 Inch, 5 Inch, and 6 Inch.

When it comes to wet sanding, we technically cannot "approve" the use of this tool for sanding, since it is a electric power tool & water is involved, however, people do use it for that, again we just cannot officially "recommend" it.
