Both of these products are ideally designed to be applied to a paint finish which has already been properly prepped, i.e. detailing clay used if needed to remove above surface contaminants, compound and/or paint cleaner and/or scratch remover to remove any swirls, fine scratches, as well as the use of a polish, especially for red, will work to deliver maximum gloss, like our Ultimate Polish.
With that said, have you completed any preparation steps on the paint? If you do not plan on doing prep steps, I might suggest the use of a "Cleaner Wax" like our "3 in 1 Wax."Nick Winn
