I have a old (but in excellent shape) Meguiars car cover for a 3rd gen GM f-body. It's been setting in my garage gathering dust and some dirt. I want to start using it again on my 1989 Formula 350 but need to wash it first. Due to the size of the cover there is no way it will fit in my washing machine. Any tips on how to wash this extremely nice cover?

I used to take mine to a commerical laundramat. You might find it even spins it nearly dry. I'd just put it on the car for final drying. I had the old multi-layer outdoor heavy duty covers for years and found that worked. -

That's a great idea. I dont know which type of cover I have. Someone gave it to me used but it was and still is brand new. I put it on the car when I had it in storage for 25 years. It has provisions for the mirrors and fits the car perfectly. Great idea on the laundromat. I will probably go there today to wash it. Thanks!Comment

I believe those were branded covercraft covers, so you might consider contacting them for care instructions, as it's been a long time & don't know if I could dig up any info.Nick Winn
