MT300 vibration

I just got the MT300 a week ago. It's a joy compared to polishing by hand.

The suggested speed for compounding is 4800-5800. At this speed, the vibration from the tool is too high and it starts to strain my hands. The compound also gets dry and powdery very quickly. Hard to clean when it's dry.
If I run it at lower speed (3800), what do I lose? Will the compounding be less effective.
The compound I am using is Ultimate compound.

Iv'e trained likely hundreds of users how to use a Dual Action Polisher & it is quite common for them to state a vibration feel especially at higher speeds. In many cases this is a result of the user holding on to the tool too tightly. Typically once a user gets more used to the tool & loosens up their grit a bit, much less of the tool vibration is transferred. Not saying this is your situation but it is something to think about. You do not have to have an extreme hold on the tool. That said, there are some users who are more sensitive to vibration & have issues operating.

Regarding Ultimate Compound drying quickly, there is likely something we can alter to help with this, because that is a very normal set up which should not have issue. Just a few questions:

What pad are you using?
Are you working in the shade?
What is the condition of the vehicle you are working on? Sometimes if the vehicle is heavily oxidized a compound will tend to dry out quicker.
About how much product would you say you are using per section pass?
That said, how large of area are you working in?
Are you cleaning your pad to remove residue build up?

I am using Giots orange compounding pad(got it local)
Working in shade inside garage.
Vehicle is old - 2001. See link for vehicle hood after polishing -
3 dabs, can't really say how much - probably a tea spoon each
Area was 2 sq ft
Pad cleaning - not much as this was the 3rd area section since I started.

How thick is the Griots pad? Our thin foam discs really help for a smooth operation on our MT300.

Also, we would recommend running the overhead d handle in the flat position & parallel to the tool, this will help with the transfer of energy from the tool to your hands.
