  • Sylvania UV Block (Pros/Cons)

Used the Sylvania kit after wetsanding with the 3m kit and had great results, I made the poor choice of trying to fill in a missed spot after letting the coating sit for about 15 mins and I got some streaks, overall great clarity and protection is a must after restoring headlights, I now know for future uses to hurry and fix any spots I may have missed before the coating gets a chance to even start drying.

(Problem?) I inadvertently got some of the coating on my paint and when i tried to wipe it off it smeared on my black paint and I am not sure how I should go about removing it or making it less noticeable? Keep this in mind when using the coating and mask off your paint! This applies like a ceramic coating but now I am not sure how to remove it off my paint.

I am not familiar with the coating in that kit, but I would likely try to use some isoproply alcohol mixed at 4:1 with water first. You could also try to use a microfiber towel & a mild paint cleaner like our Ultimate Polish or Ultimate Compound.
