The paint code is PLC...Hemi Orange Pearl. The guy I bought the car from had horrible writing, but I think it says “Mupe” next to it. Thank you for reaching out!

This is the 1969 - 1973 Hemi Orange with pearl added like 2008 for a number of years.

All the damage was caused by hand with a terrible quality microfiber. Wiped a new cd with the towels I was using and it scratched it instantly. The paint is so soft I could rub that MF without compound, just soap and water, and it will start to cause the same gray like haze. Appreciate you responding.
Yeah, I hate when that happens. Some Supreme Shine towels should take care of that.

On a sensitive finish I would personally go for a diner grade polish, like Ultimate Polish, or M210. But if M83 is delivering the goods foe you, then just switch out the towels.

Wanted to check back in. I used the M205 that was recommended. I used a rotary on 1000 and then 1200 RPM with an orange finishing pad. Using slight pressure and moving fairly slow. My problem isn’t getting worse....so that is always a good sign. Can anyone recommend a certain video or some literature that could help me. I am really a DIY kind of guy and a penny pincher so I really don’t want to have to pay someone else. I bought this car specifically to do all the work myself. Thank you all for reaching out and attempting to help an amateur.
