Automotive vs. Marine/RV

Welcome to Meguiar's Online. Your process sounds good. Deep Clean with M49 as needed, if M50 Cleaner Wax is a great way to provide cleaning ability to boat, bring up a high gloss, & topping with M56 is adding more protection. The main difference as your mentioned will be longevity. Flagship Premium Waxes will last longer since they are a more premium formulation using synthetic polymers for added durability. If you were to just change one product, would recommend it be your final coat, changing from M56 Pure Wax to M63 Flagship Premium.

I had to compound, polish, and then wax my car (black) because of hard water spots that wouldn’t come off. I use the Ultimate compound, polish, and liquid wax. The car had just been detailed with those products a few weeks before the sprinklers hit it with hard water spots that dried. It is a lot of work to do all of those steps!!!!

Is there a product in the Marine line that can protect my car finish better that Ultimate Liquid Wax??? Or make removing water spots simple, without buffing?

Unfortunately, water is one of those environmental factors that needs to be removed & dried ASAP when it gets on your vehicle. You can try our Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax or even look into a true Ceramic Coating, which may help a little more, however, even then you will still want to remove water, so it does not create water spots, ASAP.

Our Extreme Marine Water Spot Detailer can be used on automotive paint, & it's a great performing product & certainly worth a try when & if you run into this situation again, that said, if the water spots are too severe it is not going to fully remove them. More info below:
