  • New Guy from AL

Hello from Alabama, I'm Alex and I'm originally from Kentucky. I currently live in Birmingham, AL and work as a meteorologist. I'm a big Ford fan and my daily driver is a 2018 Escape - it is not pictured below. (I'm saving my pennies for another Mustang, hopefully here in a few years.) I'm currently diligently working to keep my wife's Tucson and my Escape clean, which is hard obviously with the weather and road conditions around here. I have a friend and coworker who now owns a 2020 Hyundai Veloster. It got a thorough wash and clay bar last night, and ultimate liquid wax (picked up a DA kit for my cordless drill which made that process quick and easy). The dealer had left it on the lot for about 3 months so although new, it had a lot of bonded contaminants. But that's about it. Being a gearhead and ocd about cleanliness, I find cleaning a shining up a car in my garage is very therapeutic. Also, I don't know about everyone else but I thoroughly enjoy the @MeguiarsUK videos on YouTube. They've helped a lot with tips and techniques, kudos to them. Hope everyone is well! Cheers

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! Completely agree detailing is therapeutic for many, including myself. Also thank you for the great comments on our Meguiar's UK Team & YouTube Videos! They are doing a great job, with our US Channel & UK Channel combined, there is A LOT of valuable information.

Indeed it is Nick, I'll be out in the garage tomorrow using the waterless products for a touch-up. The water beading has been fantastic on my Escape since the ultimate wax, also touched up with the hybrid ceramic detailer. Just ordered a Meguiar's bucket and grit guard on Amazon tonight for use next time and to replace my old bucket. As for the videos, I've watched many tonight in my free time. They're doing great work on YouTube, Dale is the man. Thanks for the reply!

Very cool. Ultimate Wax touching up / topping with Hybrid Ceramic Detailer or Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray is a great combo!
