  • Painting after using compound?

I am using the Rust oleum foam roller technique to paint a beater truck. There is a great thread here on the process and one the suggestions when you are nearly done is to compound the car as a final step to blend things out and give her some shine.

My question is, if I do compound with a DA and notice some spots I want to go back and paint one last time, can I do this since the truck has compound on it? Does compound leave any residual material? Could I just wipe down with wax and grease remove then paint?

    Thanks!

Yes, a couple applications of wax & grease remover should be fine to strip anything left behind from the compound.
