  • Rotary pad on Dual Action Polisher

Hi all, I got a dual action polisher with a 6 inch plate.
I mistakenly purchased a Meg 7Inch Soft Buff Rotary Foam Finishing Pad WRFF7.
I read some notes when i googled and it somehow tells me that i can use this on the dual action polisher although its for Rotary.
    So I do it.
Then after 1 wax treatment applying liquid wax on a sedan car the whole foam came apart on one corner like rip off.

    Just wanted to know
    1) Could i actually use this in the first place on the dual action polisher ?
    2) If the 7 inch in the 6 inch which is not right size fit caused it ?
    3) Or this foam got a quality issue

Just wanted to know and I mistakenly bought the wrong one and was not able to return it hence i went ahead. Not faulting anyone. Just want to know what is truly right or wrong so i don't repeat in future. Many thanks.

That's what we used to use back in the day.

What exact backing plate do you have for your D/A? It is likely due to the backing plate.
