How to you dress tires without messing up the raised white lettering on tires? So far I just very carefully use an applicator sponge. Then clean up the oops on the lettering here and there. Isn’t there an easier and better way?

So you dont want to get the tire dressing on the raised letters? Ive always just coated the entire face of the tire and not avoided the raised letters. Never had an issue.

It helps to get the tires very clean first, with a product like our M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner & a brush, this way, you lessen the chance of dragging dirt or other grime from the tire onto the white lettering. From there, it helps to use a water based conditioner/dressing, which is easier to clean up, like our M40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. It's up to you whether you want to go over whole sidewall like Jeepster04 has mentioned, you could come back & wipe off the white lettering if you do that, or as you mentioned, carefully apply around raised lettering.

I ether use spray dressing or foam applied and go back with a clean MF and clean the letters
