    Re: Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating

Hi guys, just finished applying the Hybrid Paint Coating and it was a breeze to apply! Just thought to ask, I have an old bottle of Ultimate quick wax lying around. Would that be usable to top off the coating, say after a wash? Thanks!

From what I have understood you would want to use something like M799 or Ceramic Detailer, going to Ultimate wax would take away from the coating. Also use Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax to clean it, that soap works amazing!!

Would agree with Buddy, it would be best to maintain with like base chemistry products like our Hybrid Ceramic Quik Detailer, Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray, Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax, or M799 PRO Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. Ultimate Quik Wax or other spray waxes/spray detailers, which utilize different chemistry, and therefore provide different water beading characteristics, when those are used to maintain, you will see the water beading characteristics from those products. One of the big benefits of Hybrid Paint Coating & our Hybrid Ceramic Line is the water beading so you would not want to take away from that, vehicle does tend to stay cleaner, easier to get clean when washing, easier to dry.

          Re: Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating

After applying Hybrid Paint Coating, I understand it is best to maintain with Hybrid Ceramic products having similar base chemistries to take advantage of the water beading characteristics of the coating. Now that you have me hooked on Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax, D11501 it raises the question. Is Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax a good option to maintain Hybrid Paint Coating? Are there any better options for rinse free wash?

            A couple of questions/observations:

Can the product be used on 'clear mask' products?
If I just did a traditional detail (wash/clay/polish/wax) can I use the product now or does the wax need to be removed first
I noticed in the video you applied the product and hit the rubber trim on the sunroof...Is it intended to be used on rubber/plastic trim pieces?

I am not sure what you are referring to when you say a "clear mask" product. That said the product was primarily designed and tested for paint.

Regarding your traditional detail question, yes you would need to fully remove the wax.

It is not intended to be used on rubber/plastic trim, however many people have with good results.

                Hi Nick,

Is this product being discontinued? I certainly hope not, it is a tremendous product.

It is being phased out, yes, unfortunately - so get it while you can. Agreed, great product.

Are there plans for a replacement type product in the segment? Or will M27 fall as the top Megs sealant/topper??

Nick, if I stock up, what is the assumed shelf life of the product? It would be stored between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit, indoors. Thank you.

Great question! Curious to the answer as well.

I do have a few cans of Fast Finish, now a few years old, and they seem to be perfect whennused. I assume thisbwould be similar? Being an aerosol and all???
