  • Laying Ultimate Liquid Wax with rotary

    Rotary noob here.. 😊
Before getting into cutting, I wanted to test my new rotary to just lay some sealant.
Car was silky smoith, clayed and prepped.
    Soft black finishing pad.
Got it done successfully, but boy oh boy was she jumping and hopping like a wild buck!
Some angles were better.. Curvetures.. But mostly very unwieldy.

Is it even possible to do this stage without that happening with a rotary?🤔
    No DA currently.
    HF Drill master rotary btw..
Thanks for any input guys and girls.

Re: Laying Ultimate Liquid Wax with rotary

Ultimate Liquid Wax is not designed to be used with a rotary. Even our non cleaning waxes & sealants which are designed for rotary use, are typically applied with a Dual Action Polisher. In my opinion only time a user should apply wax with a rotary is if it is a cleaner/wax, like our D166 Ultra Polishing Wax. Even then, personally, I reach for D/A 90% of the time, and only use a rotary action tool for small pads/areas like 1,2,3" & also for compounding boats.

      Figured as much. Thanks Nick.
I'll try it for compounds.. Not waxing.
