  • Etching on a B-Pillar with a matt finish

    Hi guys,

I've just bought a used car (Mazda CX-5 2019) which has bird-pooh etching on one of the B-pillars. Since it has a matt finish, I can't polish it. Is there anything I can do, besides replacing this part?
    A picture:

    Thanks a lot!

Are we sure it is etched, and doesn't just need cleaned better?

Is that bare plastic or paint? A dressing may hide it well enough on plastic..

But if your going to replace the part, I'd try polishing/compound or something..

I've tried cleaning it with a car shampoo, no luck. Maybe a stronger product is required here, but I don't know about such a product.
This is bare plastic. A dressing will probably help, but not hide it completely..
Polishing this part will result in me having only one glossy B-pillar

isopropyl alcohol may help or an all purpose cleaner, like our D101 All Purpose Cleaner or DRTU Citrus Power Cleaner Plus.
