  • I really screwed up my inner fender wells

I need help! I have a 2019 RAM 1500 the inner fender wells are plastic. Once and a while I spray down the FW's with Ultimate Interior Detailer. I wait until the little white rivers of Detailer are running down then I wipe it off and it looks great, like new. A week ago I did the process, the only difference is I forgot to wipe it down. I took a quick look and it looked fine. It snowed so the streets were wet while I ran my errands. Decided to wash the truck when it came to the FW's all I saw was the streaks of UID everywhere, washing made them look worse. I've tried 91% alcohol, Lysol Hydrogen cleaner nothing seems to touch the whiteish streaks. Reapplying UID helps somewhat but a close look you can see the streaks under the UID. Hopefully there is a remedy. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it sounds like the plastic wheel well liners are stained from this application. Even though this product has mild cleaning ability, there is still a cleaner within. It is never a good idea to spray any cleaner, allow to run & self dry with no rinsing. You can do this with dressings like our Hyper Dressing or All Season Dressing, but not with cleaners.

Unfortunately we do not think there is any solution to remedy these etchings. You can try to use our PlastX product to see if it can remove the stains, but it might change the appearance of the plastic wheel well liner.

In the future, we would recommend cleaning as needed with a dedicated cleaner, like our Meguiar's Detailer RTU - Citrus Power Cleaner Plus, ensuring the surface is cool to the touch, always spraying from the bottom up, agitate if needed, and rinse thoroughly. You can then follow with a dressing like our Meguiar's Detailer RTU - Hyper Dressing

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Feel free to post further questions & we would be happy to assist in any way we can. We are also happy to provide a full refund for the Ultimate Interior Detailer OR send you out our RTU Citrus Power Cleaner or RTU Hyper Dressing to try.

As usual, thank you Nick! I kinda freaked when I saw the inner fender wells but all is well. I cleaned them, let them dry then sprayed UID on them waited for a few minutes to let it spread and soak in then wiped them down with a cotton towel. Looks fine nice and black. When I kneel down in front of the tire and stick my head in I can see some of the streaks but they are not white and only noticeable at close range so I'm jiggy with it. Appreciate the offer, I'll wait until I finish up the two bottles of UID I have then give the Hyper a try.
