  • Reviving G110v2

Hi. I would like to revive the G110v2 which i received from a kind soul.

Upon tested the unit, i found it has the common problem that most G110v2 faced - which is speed circuit malfunctioning.

After google, i also know that Meguiars doesn't sell the parts at all and since this is a pretty old model - I found this video where someone fixed his G220v2 with some modification.

I also bought the same/similar after market circuit board. https://i.imgur.com/P3ND7Ed.png

I have the following question and hope someone can enlighten me (hopefully i don't kill/fried the unit) https://imgur.com/0f8Hb4G

    1. Is both the red wires (No.1 & 2) interchangeable ? Meaning no specific +ve or -ve terminal
    2. How about the input ? Since G110v2 come with 2 pins (No.3 & 4), can i presume i can plug into wall socket in any direction ?

I would recommend trying to find someone local to you who has experience working on these kinds of tools.

Hi Nick, the local Meguiars's office here doesn't know anything or providing any after sales service for this.

I appreciate if you could point me to the correct answer for my question 1 and 2.

I believe these machines were made for Meguiars. Not Meguiars direct.

        Hence, Nicks reply above.

We do not have the answers for your questions. We would recommended getting in contact with a company which repairs electric power tools. We never offered any repair services for this tool even when we were selling them. Hope this makes sense why we do not have more details for you.
