Hi all,
I've been using Meguiar's consumer products for years and joined this forum to stay abreast of advances in paint protection.

We took delivery of a 2021 Tesla Model Y on 3/31 and I'm having ppf installed on the front facing bits this next Friday. At the same time I'll be doing the clay bar routine then Meguiar's Liquid Wax: Pure Synthetic Polymer on the doors and back (the top is glass).

I was not sure if I should wait to do this until I read this from a forum moderator. It put my mind at ease with respect to the ppf and paint sealant installation. Thanks Mike.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! While the above in general is correct, times are changing & each manufacturer can be different. I am looking further into this for you, and I will respond back, but a quick search I found the below discussion:

Thanks Nick and appreciate anything else you can find. I've done research online too and so much of it doesn't specify whether the off gassing is after a body shop paint or a factory paint job. Our Tesla was built 3/29 (in Fremont CA) and we took deliver on 3/31 in Santa Barbara.

To be on the safe side though I will park it outside in the sun during the day from now till the ppf is scheduled to go on next Friday 4/16.
