Does anyone know what products or method to use to restore a glossy steering wheel back to the original matte?

Re: Restore used glossy steering wheel matte again?
Interesting. My initial reaction is that this glossy appearance on the steering wheel is from wear. I.E. the wear on the steering wheel turned it from matte to glossy. It's certainly possible it could be from a appearance care product also.
If you wanted to strip off anything I would suggest our G18516 Gold Class Leather & Vinyl Cleaner along with a automotive specific horse hair leather brush. Spray directly into the brush & in circular motions, work into the steering wheel. You can use a microfiber towel as well, there is just something about a horse hair brush that cleans very well.Nick Winn
