  • Restoring Painted Plastic bumper stained from plate frame.

Hi All, I have no idea how to post this in the correct location so hopefully someone sees this.

I have an 88 Sentra SE sports Coupe, in Mexico known as the Hikari in other regions the Sunny Coupe.

The bumpers are painted grey and look pretty good except for where the chrome license plate cover used to sit. There seems to be some staining as a result. Im wondering how you would approach evening out the finish. Here are some photos of the situation as well as how it looked before I took the plate off.

Hmmm. It is tough to tell from the picture if this area of the bumper is intended to be a high gloss from the factory or not, is it? Is the rest of the grey two tone on bottom of vehicle a high gloss? If so, would test a small section with our Ultimate Compound ideally with a soft foam or microfiber wax applicator pad like our W0004 or X3080. You can pick this product up at any major auto parts store or many on-line outlets.
