  • Reapply ULW topped with HCW

I'm currently having Ultimate Liquid Wax (ULW) as a base layer and I have applied Hybrid Ceramic Wax spray (HCW) on top. I like to have HCW on top of ULW.

My question is, say, 3 months later I want to reapply
ULW and then top it with HCW as I do right now, will I need to strip off wax before reapplying ULW?

Also, with HCW on top, can I still use Ultimate Waterless Wash and Wax to do light cleaning?

    Thanks!

Bump, because I'm also interested in the answer to this question! Is it recommended that we remove HCW spray somehow before reapplying ULW?

In this situation, if you are going to stay with using Ultimate & topping with Hybrid Ceramic, for best results, it would be best to remove your wax protection & then re-apply Ultimate. The benefits of Ultimate, especially the gloss benefits, are not going to get through a potent coat of Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax. Again you do not have to but in this situation it is more applicable to do so. If you were just staying with one line, i.e. Ultimate or Hybrid, you would not have to remove any existing wax every time you want to re-apply.

Most non invasive way to remove existing wax is to clay bar, use a light cleaner/polish like our Ultimate Polish, or warm water & dish soap can remove quite a bit.

Thanks Nick! In the future I think I will probably use only ULW in the warmer months and only HCW in the colder months when I am not able to wash/maintain as frequently due to freezing temps.

With ULW applied I like to use UQW as a drying aid. What would you recommend as a drying aid while I have HCW applied?
