  • Protecting outside leather look vinyl coverings

Not sure where to post this, yet thought Marine Forum might work OK.

I just installed a nice Craftec black bed cover on the El Camino.
It looks old skool, yet it does not require the holes in the stainless trim or in the exterior of the bed. Sadly those can lead to body panel rust.

The mfg. suggested not using a protectorate unless water based.

Can you let me know if these products are water based and OK for external use?
    Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer, G13616.
    Meguiar's Ultimate Interior Detailer, G16216
    Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather 3 In 1, G10916
Megiiar's Mirror Glaze Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner, M4016

Looking for a product that would provide great UV protection and protection for black vinyl with a water base.
It would work well on items like vinyl auto tops, vinyl convertible tops, boat vinyl covers over bow seats, boat seats (anyone got hot black boat seats?)

Glossy would be best, yet not required.

The product the manufacturer recommends contains no silicone or petroleum distillates.
