  • NXT Tech Wax

Hi, im new to all the meguiars cleaning but have just purchased a number of meguiars cleaning products, NXT wash, GC Shampoo & Conditioner, DC #1 & #2, NXT Tech Wax, Microfibre wash mitt and drying towel. My car is 4 months old and i intend to clean in the following way:

    1) 2 bucket method with mitt using NXT wash
    2) Apply the NXT Tech Wax

    Is this ok?

Also i am really confused about using the NXT tech wax, how much do u apply for each section of the car? how long to leave it for? do i need a seperate microfibre towel to wipe down the wax?

    Please help

    Many thanks

    Hi sufcdan

After washing and drying the car and before you begin applying the NXT Tech Wax, you should evaluate the finish to see if it needs extra cleaning such as claying or using the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner.

After washing the finish should be smooth to the touch like a piece of new glass. It should be clear and without swirls and scratches. If it doesn't look like new and it doesn't feel smooth like new glass, then you will want to use a paint cleaner minimum before applying the wax and if you can locate some detailing clay this would be optimum if your car's finish doesn't feel smooth as glass.

As far as applying NXT Tech Wax goes, apply some to your applicator pad and then apply this to a section of your car's finish. You want to use enough product that you can leave behind a thin film of wax. You want to apply it by working the wax into the finish using either straight-lines or circular motions, whichever you prefer.

Allow the wax to fully dry and then remove using a clean, dry microfiber polishing cloth.
