  • APC or Safe Degreaser as a presoak?

Which of these two would be a better presoak/dewaxer? Are either of these caustic?(I checked the MSDS and the compounds listed were not caustic, but I thought it'd be best to ask anyways). And finally, what would be the proper dilution?

Well, I guess I would say APC, very diluted. But what are you trying to accomplish? Using clay and a paint cleaner will remove your wax, and there is no need to strip it off before washing with Nxt, or Gold Class washes, etc. The Nxt wax even seems a bit resitant to detergent cleaners, and maybe other comapnies are to othese days, so I dont know how it would work.

A of the abc system will do it.

That what I usually use, but occasionally I'll find myself without A and I'll need a substitute.

I mostly use it for cars that have lots of built up wax in crevises, between trim, and emblems.
