Best Wax/Polish combo for monthly use

Hi,

I joined the Meguiar's forum this summer and have been using your products with the G-100 on my '00 black Subaru Legacy GT, with fantastic results!

First time out, I used this combo:

Wash
Clay
#83 with G-100 (5 setting)
#80 with G-100 (5 setting)
#26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax (3 setting)

About a month later, I re-did the car:

Wash
Clay
#80 with G-100 (5 setting)
Gold ClassWax with G-100 (3 setting)

My question is this: If I'm going to polish/wax the car on a monthly basis, is it OK to use the #80, or should I switch to something a little less aggressive?

I like the results, but don't want to risk rubbing out the clear coat on a six-year old car, if that's a possibility.

#80 is nice and mild for monthly use. You can always back off the speed a little bit as well to make it less agressive, I think 3-5 is recomended offhand.

Also, did you mean you used Gold Class Wax a month later? Otherwise, there is no wax on your car...

You're right; I changed it to Gold Class Wax in my post.
