has anybody ever detailed or just wash their car in the snow
to get the salt off ??

if so, how did you keep the water from freezing ?
what additive did you use if you got your water from a tank
    source ?

    thermal wrap the tank ?

I've never detailed a car in the snow, but I have done my best to blast off salt with a hose & nozzle.......But only after the temps have climbed above freezing.

Letting it get above freezing is usualy best.

Incidently, doesnt it say your location is Florida? Is that a big problem?

Like RB I will try an give a good hose down, I will also wash my truck in the garage and yes, turn the driveway into an ice skating rink --- then salt the driveway to melt the ice... its a battle but its better than having a grimy looking vehicle with salt eating away at it.

If I am in a pinch I will go to the coin op wash... there is a nice Ryko with heated bays just down the street.
