I figured the Makita is only 1 pound more than the Metabo but $100 less... but it is TWO pounds or more lighter than the DeWalt or the Milwaukee, and approximately the same weight as the Hitachi, and costs considerably less than the first two. For approximately the same price as the Hitachi, I get a well respected tool that has been around a long time. The Hitachi 5 year warranty is cool, but I'm going to use the tool a dozen times a year or less, so that didn't matter.
