  • Did M135 Mirror Glaze Synthetic Spray Detailer get discontinued?

Hey Nick. Did M135 get the axe? I don't see it available on Meguiar's.com or on some online retailers.

Hi guys, yes it's true, M135 is no longer being produced.

Thanks Nick. I'm guessing this one also suffered from low sales.

Does this affect ultimate quik detailer or will that stick around?

Does not affect Ultimate Quik Detailer.

At my local Wally World UQD is twice as expensive as the regular quick detailer; almost $10/pint compared to just under $5. Wonder if it works twice as well or if the 'ultimate' label is the hook.

UQD leaves a hydrophobic layer of protection behind where as the regular quick detailer does not.

Menzerna endless shine does the same thing and adds the antistatic effect which is new stuff to me , and it's much thicker than any QD I've used so it may be able to last longer.. I'm still comparing the two for longevity on my cars.

Going to expand a little more on my response as I left out a bit of info. The regular detailer works as a clay lube as well as a quick detailer. On the other hand it is not recommended to use UQD as a clay lube as the polymers within it are to slick. Meaning it will not allow the clay bar to pick up the contaminants.

It used to be available in a 16 oz bottle and by the gallon. But since it is now being phased out it won't be available anymore.

This is a real bummer to hear That is one of my go to's after every wash. I don't QW every time. Will there be anything else of its equivalent in the gallon size to replace it? Its just so much more economical that way. Boy, if not, I may have to branch out and try other brands, which I haven't done much of yet.

I still have 2 gallons of M135 in storage, think ever since D115 came out, I pretty much always go for it rather than M135. I'm not surprised M135 got the axe.

Yeah, I was not clear. I always bought M135 by the gallon but now I'd love to find UQD in a gallon size.

                              I'm going to miss M135.
