  • What do you keep in your daily driver

What does everyone keep in your daily driver?

I keep some Quick detailer and a few microfibers for bird droppings and what not and also a small battery operated vacuum for my wife. LOL

Quik Int Detailer, Quik Detailer, glass cleaner, some MF towels and a Swifter.

Some years back (6?) Meguiar put out their Christmas Gift Pac and all the product were in smallish spray (6oz) bottles. Just the right size to carry in 'the car'. Wish they'd offer them again-Hint hint (ya readin' this Nick?).

Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold for any of our products, can spoil them, which will dramatically affect the performance. So I always keep that in mind.

I typically take items in the car when going on road trip, more often than keeping things in my car everyday, but for road trips I take:

                      • G13616 Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner - wipe down of all hard interior surfaces
                      • M4016 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner - tires, exterior non painted plastic or rubber trim.
                      • D115 Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax - to waterless wash all exterior surfaces, especially paint, sometimes will knock off heavy grime at DIY pressure washer type car wash, then follow with D115, just don't have to be as careful then going straight to D115.
                      • Disposable Nitrile Gloves
                      • G8224 Glass Cleaner
                      • Carpet Brush - for dry brushing carpet as alternative to vacuum
                      • Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner - for going to a DIY pressure washer type car wash (ensure wheels are cool, w/ a pressure washer, typically do not have to agitate.)
                      • Extra Large Ziploc for dirty towels
                      • X2020 Supreme Shine Towels stored in large ziploc
                      • W0004's Soft Foam Applicator Pads stored in ziploc
                      • a couple water magnet drying towels

I like to store all liquid/spray items in one of our yellow Meguiar's Buckets, you can stuff things in between them to keep upright, and worst case if they do spill, it's in a plastic bucket.

Whats the difference between the D115 and G3626 (other than the size of product in the containers)?

Never really thought about the DIY power washes they have them in just about every city, I should start carrying a baggie of quarters with me lol

taking a road trip from Oregon to Disneyland in September and I am trying to figure out how to keep the car clean, I don't really want a bunch of road grime and bugs sitting on it for 2 weeks until I get home.
                        any other tips?

Oh, so what temprature can a bottle of Ultimate detailer handle? Just came from a 4 hour trip with car. Sweden suffers EXTREME heat and today it peaks at 96F. I stored some Ultimate detailer in my car cos i think thats the ultimate to have with me on a vacation with car. (with kids and all others who think a car is a good place to store your hands).

Since i bought the bottle i have stored it my car. Temperatures as been between 80 - 86F now since May, should i consider my bottle wasted?

They are the same I just go through a lot of it, use about everyday. Have 5 gallons mixed up.

Yes the DIY pressure washer places can be handy for a road trip or other situations, but of course I would NEVER use the brush there to wash the car. Just nice to do wheels with Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner ( as long as wheels are cool ) and to knock off heavy grime to make waterless wash easier, then a thorough spot free rinse.

Our Heavy Duty Bug & Tar Remover, but you especially do not want to store an aerosol in a hot car. Other than that, try to remove them ASAP with G3626.

Most of our aerosols should not be exposed to heat or prolonged exposure to sun, this can cause bursting. They should be stored below 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celcius.)

I do not have a specific temperature for our non aerosol products, but in general, if you car is going to be stored/parked somewhere where it can get really hot, it is best to not store products in that environment. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold will spoil the product, and the performance can be effected.

Always read the entire label of any product for proper use & storage recommendations.

Yea no way i store my Ultimate fast finish in my car since i know it can explode. Oh, well then i try to find a cooler spot to store it in, glovebox is cooler i guess.

About the label. We get a label in swedish over the original one. Sometimes they say different, so i always rip the swedish one off since i dont trust guys who uses Wash plus+ a polish However my ultimate detailer still works though since it removed a hand print with sunscreen (on black car) easy as a sunday morning!
