M40 Help

I'm currently using M40 on the interior of my car about once a month. I would like to know if I need to remove any residual M40 before reapplication or how often I should wipe it down to prevent a build up of product. If a wipe down is necessary, what should I use? Thanks

If using a dressing type product, I tend to apply, let sit for a few minutes, then wipe over with a dry cloth to pick up residue.

That said, M40 is a bit exterior of a product.. you might find the supreme shine or natural shine leave less residue to the touch....

Thanks, I've been using the same method you mentioned. I read a guide on another site and it is recommended to "undress" the surface periodically by cleaning off the previous dressing to prevent discoloration of the surface, because what you are reapplying is really not curing to the surface but just sitting on the previous product that was applied. If this is correct, what should I use to prevent a layering effect of M40 on the interior surfaces? Also, I thought that M40 was mostly used on the interior of vehicles. Doesn't it run off the surface onto the paint when it rains? Not speaking from experience, just what I've read.

Been using M-40 for many years on/in the interior. I've never seen what could be said to be a build-up of product. One trick I do do is to wipe the top of the dash with "Quik Interior Detailer" to cut some of the M-40 shine.

M40 Professional Mirror Glaze Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner is a premium water based cleaner/conditioner for vinyl, rubber, colored plastics. Can be used on interior or exterior. Like others have mentioned, it is not required to, every now and then, remove product, to prevent buildup. Again, not necessary. With that said, it's one of my favorites! Not the longest lasting on exterior, but quick & easy application, and a great look. My favorite on tires.

Thank you everyone for the help. I'm going to give M40 a try on the exterior....great product and very easy to work with.
