DFC5 cutting pad and Ultimate polish/compound on a gear driven polisher

Hi everyone,

Since my Meg's DA polisher died, I decided to go for a stronger machine as I need to work on hard VW coats. However, are the pads and and products I used on my Meguiars DA safe to use on a gear driven DA polisher? I would start out with polish on a cutting pad and step up to compound on a cutting pad if needed as I suspect the gear driven machine will have a lot more cut than a free spinning DA? However, maybe someone can chime with experiences:-)

Meguiar's Soft Buff D/A Foam Discs & D/A Microfiber Discs can be used on forced rotation dual action polisher machines.
