M205/ Ultimate Paste Wax gave my X3 super nice quik shine

My car was due for wax application so I decided to give it some quick polishing treatment as well.
M205 Ultra Finishing Polish was designed as a follow up to M105 Ultra Cut Compound but we, car detailers, use it as a stand alone product as well.

It was nothing major to remove, just regular every day stuff: some light swirls, towel marks, couple mild scratches.

Process:
DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss - two bucket method, two grid guards, Meguiar's MF wash mitt;
Meguiar's consumer clay white/ M34 Final Inspection as a lubricant;
M205 Ultra Finishing Polish, Flex PE14-2 rotary buffer at 1200 rpm, W8207 and W8204 yellow polishing pads;
Ultimate Paste Wax, Meguiar's G110v2 speed 3, Lake Country crimson Hydro-Tech 4" finishing pad;
D120 Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1;
Endurance Tire Gel (Thank you, Rick);
Quik Wheel Detailer;
Ultimate Protectant.

Holy smokes Greg!!!! Your car looks amazing! The shine, gloss and brilliance is insane! I've never seen your paint glow like it. For me, your car's paint looks much better compared to your first detail!!! Great job!

Could it be because you used the rotary with M205 instead of the D/A?

I might need some sunglasses now.

Amazing what a quick once over with M205 via rotary can do to really boost the clarity and gloss in a finish! Nice work Greg, the X looks beautiful!

Greg, the best combo in the universe! M205 buffs smooth even with a DA but throw in the luxurious comfort and ergonomics of the PE-14 and we have one amazing combo.

I remember when we tried this after the car show and your paint really responds well to it.

I know you're a big fan of this combo. It works absolutely great on modern clear coats.

That was when we discovered how well this combo works on BMW's blue metallic. 3401 didn't finish so well at all.

I was tempted to follow up with Ultimate Polish and a finishing pad but it wasn't necessary. I know that you restore many paints in just one step after carefully selecting a right product.

After I scrubed the wheels and tires with several brushes of different sizes they looked pretty good already so I just quickly sprayed the rims with Quik Wheel Detailer, dried them with black microfiber towel and protected using Ultimate Paste Wax. I must keep my wheels waxed as BMW brakes create so much brake dust (especially front).

Hi Greg,

I have been mega busy!!!!. Moving house getting a new job sorted etc......

Apart from giving my car its weekly wash thats as much as I have had to do with any form of detailing. If you can call it that.

As of next week I will resume normal service. And visit every day. My next 3 days will consist of putting right my VW. Thanks to the local dealers free service wash. Then it will be a shinny shinny vw!!!.Cant wait!!

I took advantage of long weekend/ Columbus Day (or Bank Holiday as you call it in UK) to get things back under control with fresh wax.
Dealers love to give you their specialty - wash & swirl/ scratch.
