      Re: Ultimate Quik Wax

I'm going to try this this weekend.

I'm going to follow Mike's traditional spray wax instructions.

It must be a bit confusing for the average consumer though, who reads the bottle directions, to spread it around, and then wipe off with another side of the same towel. Sounds like no drying time.

Glad I have this forum, to use the proper technique!

This stuff smells like kool aid by the way!

Used this today on my truck after washing. Oh Lord! So easy to use! I did it in full sun too. Very, very slick as well. Even used it on the glass just to see if it streaked. Nope.

If it lasts, which I bet it will, we will have a huge winner here!

It better last longer then 2 weeks. AW will last 1 month, at least 3 washes.

i guess it depends on a lot of things when it comes down to longevity of the product, especially in the winter

                  Re: Ultimate Quik Wax

I think any sort of quick spray wax would be doing well to last 2 weeks or 2 washes.

I don't really expect them to last any longer than that, since it's something I do every week after washing due to the "quick" nature of it...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

                    Re: Ultimate Quik Wax

I tried the UQW last night and found that a micro fiber works much better than a foam applicator. I prefer using the foam applicator with the old version of quick wax but found with the UQW it did not spread out evenly. It tended to bead up and the foam applicator just pushed it around. I tried both applying to the applicator and spraying directly on the panel. Using the micro fiber, the application and removal required very little effort and the results look fantastic. I just didn't feel I could get as uniform of a thin coat as I could with the old quick wax and foam applicator. Great product and cannot wait to get home and Ultimate Quick Wax again!!!

                      Re: Ultimate Quik Wax

Never really been much for "spray waxes". I use the UQW now quite often on my vehicles & the tank of my Harley.
What I really want to ask is............
How much of the wax is actually being left on the surface when applied correctly. It seems like it's just being sprayed on & wiped off. Logicly speaking, there is no bonding time. with conventional wax, it is applied, left to dry, ( & bond ) and then wiped off which leaves a minute film that bonds even more. How can spraying a thin liquid on a surface & imediately wiping off have a chance to bond to the surface? Just my thoughts....

keep the shiny side up, & the rubber side down !! !

^....well I have 3 vehicles, a 05 G35, 2011 Impreza, and a 03 MPV. The G35 & Impreza both have been clayed, and GC paste wax x2, and I use UQW after every 2nd wash. With the MPV, I clayed, and just applied UQW and nothing else.....just yesterday water beaded on my MPV like on my G & Impreza. I haven't used UQW on my MPV for almost 2 months....so this stuff works.
How I apply UQW on the MPV.....i use a MF applicator, spray it down a bit with UQW ....mist a section on the MPV....spread it around for 30 seconds...wipe off with a dry MF cloth.....shiney smoooth...I have thought of using some GC paste wax on the MPV.....but why....UQW seems to work great

Does Ultimate Quick Wax contain Petroleum Distillates? If not can I use it to remove some Ultimate Liquid Wax and Cleaner Wax I put on my car?

                          Thanks

I don't see anything about Petroleum Distillates for G17516. Ultimate Quik Wax will not remove an existing coat of wax.
