  • Just a few questions.

I run a small detail business out of my garage and yesterday in the middle of a detail my orbital took a dump on me So I have been looking into a new DA and I decided I am going to get a PC 7424 at Lowes because I have a detail tomorrow I need it for. Just a few quick questions though:

The PC does not come with a backing plate, the best one to get would be the W67DA? Also does Lowes/Pepboys sell backing plates so I can be good to go for tomorrow, and what size (5/16" 24?)

The pads Im going to order at W-8006 and W-9006, two of each. But Im curious what the purpose of the W-7006 pad is for?

I guess I could search or someone could give me a direct link for this but:

What are the best techniques for using M80 and M83.

I would do this on my own, but its my first day off in two weeks so I have a lot of stuff around the house to do, so thanks in advance.

It's the best that you can get. This pad is what Meguiar's recommends for you to use with their pads

It's not recommended by Meguiar's to use W-7006 with the DA, it can mar the paint. It's basically when you need something more aggressive than the W-8006 pad when you use the rotary
Read this link: Cutting Pads with the PC - Good idea?
You can get the W-7006 if you have the DA but only use it to put a microfiber bonnet on for removing wax

        Re: Just a few questions.

Thanks yalerd..I appreciate it. I ended up ordering a G110 from ADS with package #1 and a few pads. I must have called 20 different stores to see if they had the PC and no one did.
