I have been using the consumer line of products for a couple of years. I have a Black Saturn Vue that was swirled pretty bad when I bought it 6 months ago. I was able to eliminate the swirls with ScratchX and a PC7424. I topped it off with NXT 1.0 at the time. The finish is looking pretty good now other than a few water spots from rain and some minor scratches. It needs another good detail and I would like to step it up a notch to the pro line of products. I currently have a PC7424 and Lake Country Pads (orange, white, and gray). Could someone recommend a pro line product combination that I should use to begin maintaining a great finish?

Re: professional line newbie product recommendation
I'm not familiar with the Lake Country pads, but the most common product used would be #80 Speed Glaze.

Before using a cutting pad with a DA Polisher you might want to read through this thread and look at the pictures...

And again, remember to always do a test spot.

Hmm, I wonder why people don't use LC pads here...
Anyway, I would recommend #80 with a white pad to start out with and if that doesn't cut or do what you want it to, I would up it to an orange pad with #80. I NEVER use the yellow LC pad because it makes micromarring like no other. The orange pad is the yellow pad in terms of cut but finishes down LSP ready almost all the time for me.Hello, I am Isaac

It's all about the prep. If you want to step it up a notch, #80 is probably a good start. But before the #80 give it a good wash (I like #62 and Shampoo Plus *detailer Line*) and clay the paint. Claying is well worth the time. I like to finish with a layer of #21 2.0 (pro-formula similar to NXT 2.0) and for extra depth a top coat of #26 Carnuba.Life isn't about 'weathering the storm', it's about learning to dance in the rain.
